When programming the system the install guide says to use a remote. Can you use a PC to program as well?
The REI Rx001 Liveview and Playback PC Software which comes free with your DVR can be used for configuration. No remote is needed in this case.
My DVR system has an ethernet port. Does this mean I can set up a wireless download network?
REI offers all of the vehicle-side equipment, which includes an 802.11 wireless bridge, cabling, and antenna. The end user supplies the facility-side access points and antennas. An RF site survey is required to be performed by the end user to determine the feasibility of the project, optimal antenna locations, and access point configuration. Can I view the bus location and route on a map with REI PC Software?
By purchasing REI GPS Antennas for your DVR systems and REI Map Data Disks for your computers, you can open a map in an extra viewing window of the REI PC Software. This feature shows the vehicles' current position in relation to the video being played back as well as where the bus has been and where the bus is going. By clicking on the route with the computer mouse the user can go directly to the video at that point. Please contact your regional account sales representative for more information.
